Markus Thewes is a lawyer and public accountant. He advises entrepreneurs, corporations and private individuals in matters relating to tax law, the law governing tax offences as well as general business law. In addition to tax law advice, he prepares annual financial statements for his clients in the tax department he manages in Potsdam and prepares tax returns. Due to his dual qualification, he is able to develop tax-optimised solutions, particularly in the cases of corporate restructuring and reorganisation and corporate succession. In addition, he advises his clients on exonerating voluntary disclosures and successfully represents them in tax investigations before tax authorities, tax courts throughout Germany and the Federal Tax Court. He also advises on related areas of law: commercial, corporate and insolvency law.
